This Saturday: Global Cool(er) w/ Bill Nye at Chabot Space & Science Ctr. in the Oakland hills

Posted by pk. Tue, 09 Nov 2010 23:02:00 GMT

We’ve always had a soft spot for the cosmos, we are the SPACE Cowboys after-all! So we’re stoked to be playing at Chabot Space & Science Center this Saturday November 13th!

It’s the opening party for their new Climate Lab exhibit & Bill Nye himself is coming out to do the ribbon cutting. I’m told he plans to cut a rug with us afterwards too!
Think of it as a NightLife in a new venue. New exhibits to check out, new movies to see, a…nd a new place to take that first date to! The observatory will have their telescopes open to attendees and it’s supposed to be a beautiful night! Honestly one of the most amazing experiences I’ve had was looking through one of Chabot’s telescopes, it’s incredible, you just have to see it for yourself; it’s well worth the price of admission.

Speaking of admission, buy your ticket in advance and use the discount code “SpaceCowboys” to receive 10% off. And the ticket includes a complimentary cocktail.

There will be plenty of bars & Space Cowboy djs Shissla, 8ball, Rrrus and Brad Robinson to keep you grooving; together with:

- NEW! Bill’s Climate Lab exhibition unveiling with Bill Nye the Science Guy (in the flesh), stirring things up

- Delectable sushi & Indian chaat, luscious specialty drinks, and more!

- 350.org’s 10/10/10 Film Premiere

- Mona Lisa Jazz, featuring musicians from Sila & the Afro-Funk Experience

- Impressive views overlooking the bay and stars above

- Free Shuttles to and from Chabot to Lake Merritt BART station (starting at 8:30, with the last one timed to make the final train of the evening)

Buy tickets directly at: http://chabotspace.org/cooler.htm
remember to use discount code “SpaceCowboys” for 10% off
