Raining on our parade (thanks for those who came out to the End Up) 4

First off, I want to thank everyone who came on down to the End Up for The Show this past Saturday. It was a really freekin’ fun time. The DJs rocked it and the dance floor was packed the entire night, even with the rain. It was great to see so many familiar faces and hang out with a bunch of new ones at that. I really want to thank everyone for their patience in dealing with the line (and the door process in general). Many of you heeded our advice and came down early (thank you!) and yet encountered an unnecessarily long line. Many of you were rock-stars and patiently waited, and some understandably bailed. I want to personally apologize for that unnecessary part. That’s not how the Space Cowboy’s roll. We talked to the club about it as it was going down; and WE did everything we could at the time to get you solid peeps in there…. but it still didn’t go down not exactly as we would like, and I personally was frustrated about it. There were certain behaviors by the door staff that just weren’t acceptable… and assure you that you’ve got no better advocates than us, we take a quality night out seriously AND CLEARLY SO DO YOU!!! So thanks again for coming down, (despite our soggy weather) and rockin’ it with us again!

On the upside, all this soggy weather means killer conditions in Tahoe, and we’re getting stoked about SnowFest! It’s Friday March 5th – Sunday March 7th. Much of it will be similar to last year (why not? that shit went off!) ... Rockin’ it slope-side at Squaw all day on Friday and Saturday; with nocturnal mayhem Friday night at Squaw and Saturday night in Tahoe City at the Lakeside. Get your lodging squared away now, and get ready for some alpine shenanigans!

Let it snow!

It was a good time and my wife & I enjoyed the music. The End Up security was raking in cash by creating an unnecessary long line, getting ppl to shell out so they could avoid being line whores or getting soaked in the rain, the latter being the main problem on Sat night. Fucking BS on their part, we almost left, but were glad we braved it out and got to listen to some good tunes. I guess you gotta pay the rent somehow, but screw those guys, they almost made it a shitty evening instead of a damned good time. There were some tracks that I almost trainspotted on but started this post on discogs, any leads or info would be appreciated. We were there from 12-3am - http://www.discogs.com/groups/topic/203487 Cheers, Rob PS: Are you guys playing at the Mushroom Festival in Colorado this summer? Not even sure if there are venues but would love to see you there.

Lucky me - I came down early, albeit a bit wet and harried after a bicycle ride to the End-Up - and I found that the staff (including the door folks) were actually pretty cool. When I was in, they tracked me down to let me know that coat check was open, coat check guy let me pay later, security got my water bottle back to me promptly at the end of the night, etc. However, I did notice, when I was leaving around 4am - it was a complete cluster at the door. Overall, though, it was the people and music that made it a great night.

We waited in line from 11pm to 12am, so we did get there early imo. The place was pretty empty when we got in, so it was damned obvious what security was up to, not to mention I heard one of the security bozo's say to the other bozo that she had gotten $50 from so-and-so. BTW everyone, on the link I posted above, there are some videos from the night. Check em out, maybe you're famous!

Thanks to you all for coming down... the concerns you voiced about security holding the line so they could make a little extra, were heard multiple times and we've spoken to the End Up about it.... Though there was nothing we could do, you still have my apologies; that's just not what we're about at the Space Cowboys. Thanks again for rockin' with us. -pk.
