Spring is springing, March is Maddening and the Space Cowboys are ready to 'tome el sol contigo' (that's questionable Spanish for 'to drink the sun with you'). It's a prettier way of saying sunbathe, and beats the heck out of saying 'let's go get irradiated and grow wrinkles'.  

Just like the March madness NCAA basketball tournament, we're kicking things off today with Shizzy and ShOOey at the Academy of Sciences. With this beautiful weather in our beautiful city, the overlap is serendipitous for people running low on excuses to get out of work. If you fall into this category, have no fear - we're here to help. If your having a hard time getting out to have fun, try these proven excuses on for size:

- I am stuck in the blood pressure machine down at the Foods Co
- I lost one of my viking horns skiing at Kirkwood. Now I'm out of balance and can't walk in a straight line
- I just found out I was switched at birth. Legally, I shouldn't come to work knowing my records may contain false information.
- I am too tired from working yesterday
- I spent my all my money on lottery tickets and I'm out of gas until payday
- I am too busy stalking my previous boss who fired me for not showing up to work
- I was bit by shOOey and am too afraid to go outside
- I'm still rocking with the SpaceCowboys

Twestival is a globally held event brought together by the twitter community to raise money for charity. San Francisco’s goal is to help bring awareness to Concern World Wide (@concern) on March 25, 2009. A group of good friends, DJ's and party promoters teamed up to do the AIDS ride this year. It's a 545 mile bike ride from SF to LA to raise money for the SF AIDS Foundation.
