Hello Friendly Person:
1) So a few of us Space Cowboy DJs are playing Murphstar's (SeismicSF.org) After The Love party on Saturday, October 3rd, right after the LovEvolution thing that's happening on Market Street and Civic Center (preferred public urination spot of all discriminating public drunkards). Instead of just asking all the DJs to just help promote the party, Murph's turned it into a contest to see who can get the most discount tickets sold. Now, the only thing I hate more than a contest is losing. Losing sucks, it's crap, it's for losers! And while Space Cowboys may have lost a few braincells, possibly a kickball game, and several sets of speaker cables, I don't think we've ever lost a contest, and we certainly don't want to start now. So, we're asking for your help. Help! Help us bury the competition by going to http://bit.ly/cheaplove and entering the code "Space Cowboys" for your discount ticket to After The Love. If you help us, you're really helping yourself,
and that is a scientific fact! Details below...
2) It is hot outside, innit?! Ice cream weather, says me. Ice Cream Social, says shOOey! She's playing an ice cream benefit for the California Transplant Network TODAY with Shissla, Zach Moore and others. Details below...
3) Write it down on your calendars -- Saturday, October 31st marks the return of the Ghost Ship. More info about this amazing collaboration soon!
XO,
8b
### UPCOMING EVENTS ###
TODAY - Tuesday, Sept 22nd - Feel the Beat Ice Cream Social @ Skylark
We want to thank all of you for supporting us thus far! Between raising money from t-shirt sales and our various fundraisers, to signing up to be an organ and tissue donor, you are helping us achieve great success. So far we have a little over 100 signups, which is outstanding, but we are only halfway from our goal of 200!
On Tuesday 9/22, we put the FUN in fundraising with an event we think you'll all enjoy! For only $5, you can make your own sundae complete with all the toppings you love. This $5 donation will go to the California Transplant Donor Network (www.ctdn.org). If the typical San Francisco Indian summer is in effect, this will make for a perfect opportunity to eat ice cream :) Raise your hand if you like ice cream... now raise your hand if you like eating ice cream for a good cause! :D
We will also have t-shirts (see the design HERE) for sale, and for this event only, you can purchase both a t-shirt and an ice cream sundae for only $20. Groovy beats provided by Feel the Beat DJ's (Cor, Floorcraft, Jonboy, Shissla, shOOey, Zach Moore), so you can dance off the calories from your sundae.
Skylark is located just off of the 16th St. BART station in SF, so it is very easy to get to.
If you haven't yet signed up to be an organ and tissue donor, you can do so by going to http://www.donatelifecalifornia.org/feelthebeat OR, if you have already signed up, we strongly encourage you to spread the word to your friends and family, and encourage them to sign up to become donors.

Saturday, Sept 26 - Freeform Dubalicious @ Shine
Our Feel the Beat campaign is coming to a near close with our sixth and final event, Freeform Dubalicous at Shine before the LoveVolution Music Festival. Our team has been working hard on organizing events to increase organ donation education, awareness and registrations. We are trying to achieve our goal of 200 new signups and hope to reach that target by the end of our campaign. We hope our presence at LoveVolution will bring even more recognition of the need for and importance of organ donation.
Our first float had its humble beginnings in social networking, where Jeff Ziskin (Floorcraft) and Jenny shu (shOOey) exchanged a few innocuous emails mentioning their mutual desire to join forces through dj'ing to help raise money and awareness for organ donation. Feel the Beat float made its successful debut at the 2008 LoveFest and we decided to re-launch the campaign with loftier goals for the 2009 LoveVolution festival. From our efforts, We have over 100 new organ donor registrations and hope to reach our target of 200 new sign-ups!
We'll have our Feel the Beat DJ's on deck as well a few other guests from the 2009 Feel the Beat team. Donor sign up forms will be available as well as our custom t-shirts, all benefitting CTDN.org.
