Hello Friendly Person:
ZOMG! When did Fall become become the busiest time of year? Every
weekend's got some flavor of shinanigans going on. For example, last
weekend the Unimog was up in Santa Rosa for the first annual Hand Car
Regatta; this coming weekend is LoveFest, or what I like to call the
Hand Job Riccotta (if you've walked Civic Center in previous years,
heard the cheesy euro house and dodged the masked masterbators, then
you know exactly what I mean).
Details about more upcoming madness are below, but allow me to first
call your attention to Seismic's After The Love at Mighty (10/4), which
will include a who sweaty mess of Space Cowboy DJs along with some epic
home-grown and imported talent. And if you love dancing and candidates
that don't suck, you should check out the Obamathon fundraiser (10/10),
where your dance moves can help save the world. Finally, there's the
Space Cowboy GhostShip party, rebranded from Debaucharios and poised to
become the biggest mess of Halloween fun since TumorLounge.
Enjoy,
h8
PS: Don't miss your opportunity to give Kirk birthday spanks at this Friday's Fresh!
### UPCOMING EVENTS ###
Thursday, 10/2 - Ruby Skye SF Love Fest Event
Featuring UBERZONE
with Special Guests
DJ ICON & Aaron Jae
Uberzone is the brainchild of southern California native Q (named after
the "gizmo" -loving James Bond character). Like his namesake, Q is a
die-hard collector of all things electronic, and has been collecting
electronic-music gear since his early teens. His early singles, "Botz" and "The Freaks", released on taste-maker
indie dance label City of Angels, were critically acclaimed club tracks
that established Q as one of the leading American producers of
breakbeat music. These singles were charted consistently by DJs like
Florida's DJ Icey and the UK's Adam Freeland, among others. His remixes
of Sarah McLachlan, The Crystal Method and BT also established him as
one of the biggest names in the American dance scene. Spin Magazine
named Uberzone as one of the six producers to create "the biggest beats
ever."
