[SpaceCowboys-Announce] Hand Car Regatta, Fresh, After the Love, New music, and MORE!

Hello Friendly Person: 

I
think I've said it before but this time I really mean it: I'm busier
than a one-legged man at an ass kicking contest right now. Still,
there's some important events coming up that I want to get the word out
for, including some that should not be missed. The Hand Car Regatta
this Sunday up in Santa Rosa should be a good olde tyme, featuring all
manner of steam-punky sights and sounds. Then, next week, there's an
event benefiting MoveOn.org that includes wine and some music by
Shissla from House of Lotus at The Terra Gallery (511 Harrison Street).
A bunch of Space Cowboy DJs (myself included) are playing Seismic's
epic AFTER THE LOVE party at Mighty after Love Parade. And way down at
the bottom there's a link to a new mix by yours truly.

Don't
have a lot of details on this, except that Space Cowboys' DJ Mancub
will be spinning a 4 hour set at this Union Square happy hour spot. I
guess that's all you need to know.

Sunday, 9/28 - Hand-Car Regatta @ Old Rail Road Square, Santa Rosa (Daytime, Family-friendly)

The
Cowboys are heading north to the Old West. We’ll be in Santa Rosa for
the Great Hand Car Regatta. I can’t really do it justice, check it on

We’ll be
there primarily serving as the PA for the event with some occasional
musical interludes, but we’re primarily stoked to support all of our
friends who are competing or otherwise contributing to a really unique
happening: The Department of Spontaneous Combustion, The Kinetic Steam
Works, The Steampunk Tree House, The Crucible, the NeverWas Haul and
Roshambo.

Friday, 10/3 FRESH LOVE @ Shine
Space Cowboys are offering up
something Fresh for Love Fest weekend.  It's the Kapt'n's (Kirk's)
birthday and we are excited to present four Djs/Producers whom we love
and have never played a Space Cowboys party.  Or at least have never
played a Fresh party.  Cowboy Djs get the night off to enjoy some great
beats and good/strong drinks.

Saturday, 11/1 - Space Cowboys present Dia de los Muertos
Space Cowboy Mr. Pickles says:
We
here at the ranch are "inebriated" with excitement about a little
something we have planned for continuing our tradition of Halloween
celebrations of epic proportions. Some seven years ago we threw a
little event called TumorLounge with our sister-crew at the time,
SpaceLounge. That Halloween party was the largest underground SF event
that I know of, and the greatest part of it all was how it brought the
greater community together in a special moment. Well, this year we have
something even grander planned, though while the details are still be
worked out, lets just say that we will be joining with a number of the
city’s arts collectives and underground crews to produce an epic event
you won’t want to miss; at perhaps the most incredible location within
the city and county of San Francisco.

So save the date and
spread the word. The Ghost Ship sails on Saturday, November 1st 2008.
We will go all night and we guarantee you’ll want to be on board.
