Hello Friendly Person:

Welcome home Burners, and thanks for bringing the Sun with ya. Those of
you who still haven't washed all the dust out of your brains yet
might've missed the South Park episode that's playing out at the RNC.
Conan O'Brien had my favorite Sarah Palin line so far: "She said she's
a life-long member of the National Rifle Association. Which may explain
why she's in favor of shotgun weddings." I won't go into it except to
repeat what a friend said during her speech, that soccer moms and
pitbulls can both be bitches.

We've got Fresh tonight at Shine, and then another happy pre-nup party
the following night at the same place. If you're feeling lazy, maybe
you can talk Shine into letting you just sleep over.

So 2 very good friends of mine, and possibly of yours, are getting
married… Rachel Roth and Matt ‘Monkey’ Taylor…. apparently one of the
benefits of knowing one “illustrious” Mr. Pickles, is that even if he’s
not in your wedding party, he’ll put the party into your wedding! So
come on down to Shine on Saturday night as I’ve berated, belied and
connived some of the most talented djs we know to throw down some
rocking breaks, bhangra and other musical mayhem and make sure that
Saturday night at Shine is just all about the party and as little about
any wedding as possible (okay we’ve planned this little private part
beforehand to take care of that part) but we’d like nothing more than
to pack the place with tons of peeps they don’t know, then get them
really sauced and convince them how popular they are by having all of
you there… sounds like a plan no? Glad you agree. See you Saturday
night, 10pm. at Shine, oh and yeah, no cover, left over cake included!
