Hello Friendly Person:

First, thanks to everyone who popped in at our little Mog 2.0 fundraiser. We had a fantastic time, and we hope you did as well. Over the last few weeks we've seen our vision for the Mog move from paper to a dangerous pile of metal and wire to something that looks like it'll be very fucking cool when it's done. Because there's still quite a bit to do and buy, we're going to throw another party later this month, also a fundraiser, on Sunday, July30th, during the day. We've also received some donations (one in the sum of $69, another for $6.66, and more) via Paypal – if you're feeling flush, the Paypal link's on www.spacecowboys.org

Second, it's no secret that in recent months I've started to act my age; I've become a gentler and more mature 8ball, a civilized 8ball, an 8ball that doesn't party and/or barf until dawn. I'm in bed most nights an hour before the old me would've left for the club, and I'm awake before that poor old bastard would've stumbled back through the door. All in all, I think it's for the best, but if I ever get nostalgic for the good old days I don't have to look very far to find a landmark in this city where some shameful moment of some shameful night took place. Last night I was getting a ride home from semi-worked-related forum downtown from one of my former favorite co-conspirators who I will call CP (I've already embarrassed this person publicly enough in this lifetime). We were walking past Zeum, and CP said last time s/he'd been there to bowl s/he'd done bumps in the bathroom between frames. I said I was pretty sure I'd barfed in front of Moscone, but I couldn't remember the
exact place. Within a 100 yards we were beside the Metreon, site of the infamous Sony Party of 2 years early, where the Unimog had been parked out front; they gave us enough guest passes to bring in a critical mass of friends and family; the open bar ensured our doom. "What's shameful," CP said, "Is when you hope your friend barfing in the bathroom does blow so they won't be so fucking drunk." Shameful indeed. Further up the street, across from the 5th and Mission garage, the site of one of M3's sweaty, stanky birthday implosions. A little further the other direction would take us to House of Shields; don't get me started. CP commented, "This city just a walking tour of places I've partied or barfed." "Sometimes both at the same time," I said.

And on that note, now for our upcoming events.

XO,
8ball at spacecowboys.org

### UPCOMING EVENTS ###

Thursday, July 20 – @LPHA BAR
Evinrude says, "This week, I'm honored, stoked, and flattered to have two of my favorite people out to tear it up in a serious fashion with us: Evil Breaks' diva-of-bass and master-mix-maven Athena, and the Bay Area's secret-breaks-weapon/powerhouse-premium-selekta-in-hiding Natural High. Both of these fools seriously rock the house every time, so don't miss it! We've usually got a drink special on hand, so be sure to ask the bartenders."

Saturday, July 22 – IGNITE! 2007
This one's presented by Genart.org, a local non-profit that supports the arts. Aside from the warm fuzzy you'll get knowing your price of entry is going to fight the good fight you'll also get a preview of SF's badass new venue, TEMPLE. Yours truly, 8BALL, and Space Cowboy madman MANCUB will be helping to break in their sound system, and we're hoping to see a lot of familiar faces breaking in the dance floor. Look for art, and live performances all night. Ignite! runs until 11:30pm, and the Temple hosted After party kicks off on it's heels, ending at 4am.
