to turn over control of the monthly Space Cowboy
Communiqué to my alter ego, h8ball, whose views and
opinions are not necessarily representative of the

Hell is the continued observation of daylight savings
in the 21st century. Hell is other people. Hell is
trance. Hell is patchouli stinking hippies dancing too
close, say within a 100 yards. Hell is hipsters in the
neighborhood bar. Hell is first dates and bass bins
that don't put out. Hell is $20 covers, VIP tables
with bottle service and topless djs. Hell is ending
the party at 2AM. Hell is a guy on the Bay Bridge who
takes more than 13 hours to decide he doesn't want to
kill himself after all. Hell is anything you do for
money that you wouldn't do for free. Hell is you and
you and you and me, too. Hell is a list of things too
long for this or any email.

Life is hell. It's hell and then you die. Here are
some things you can do until that time comes.
